Crowdfunding to Community to Impact

The Pebble Fund operates under the “Crowdfunding to Community to Impact” model — mobilizing resources from the community, providing micro-financial support to low-income women, and reinvesting capital to scale long-term social impact.

The 4 Pillars

Community Crowdfunding

  • Resources are mobilized from individuals, organizations, and businesses through a transparent online platform.
  • Each fundraising campaign is tied to a real story of a woman in need of support — from small traders and farmers to informal workers.
  • Donors can choose to contribute to a specific case or to the general fund.

Microfinance for Empowerment

  • Small loans ranging from VND 2–10 million are provided to women seeking to improve or expand their livelihoods.
  • No collateral is required, and procedures are kept simple to accommodate informal workers.
  • Flexible repayment periods of 3–12 months, depending on individual circumstances and loan purpose.
  • Low-interest or 0% interest loans to reduce financial pressure and encourage timely repayment.
  • Each loan is not just financial assistance, but an opportunity for women to gain autonomy and build sustainable futures.

Capacity Building & Mentorship

  • Borrowers receive training in personal financial management, small business planning, and are connected to mentors and a supportive community network.
  • The Pebble Fund believes that knowledge and long-term accompaniment are essential for capital to become a true catalyst for change.

Sustainable Capital Cycle

  • When loans are repaid, the funds are reinvested to support the next borrower, creating a sustainable revolving capital system.
  • This approach allows The Pebble Fund to extend its impact over time and across communities — rather than supporting only one individual at a time.

Core Operating Principles

The Pebble Fund operates on the foundation of transparency, compassion, and non-profit values, guided by four key principles:

Transparency

All information related to projects, borrowers, fund allocation, disbursement, and repayment progress is publicly updated on the online platform. Donors can track repayment rates, impact reports, and success stories of each case.

Data Privacy

The project is fully committed to protecting the personal data of both borrowers and donors, in compliance with international data protection standards.

No Hidden Fees

All loan terms, operational costs, and interest rates (if any) are clearly disclosed and aligned with legal requirements and non-profit principles.

Legal Compliance

All financial, data, and operational activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring safety and accountability throughout the entire cycle of fundraising, lending, and repayment.

The 6-Step Operational Process

1

Fundraising Project Initiation

Project coordinators collect documentation, verify information, and validate the story and needs of each woman applying for a loan.

2

Public Profile Publication

Verified profiles are published on the website or campaign page, including photos, background information, and a clear plan for fund usage.

3

Community Fundraising

Individuals, businesses, and students can contribute through monetary donations or fundraising products. Every contribution — no matter how small — is acknowledged and transparently reported.

4

Loan Disbursement

Once the fundraising goal is reached, funds are disbursed directly to borrowers via bank transfer or through trusted local partners.

5

Training & Monitoring

Borrowers receive guidance on fund utilization, income–expense management, and are monitored periodically.

6

Repayment & Reinvestment

Repaid funds return to the general fund and are reinvested to support new borrowers — creating a ripple effect of impact rather than a single, isolated outcome.

Operational Policies & Social Responsibility

Repayment Policy

Borrowers repay according to a flexible schedule. In cases of hardship (natural disasters, illness, job loss, etc.), the project offers compassionate extensions or alternative support mechanisms.

Donor Policy

All donors receive periodic impact reports detailing fund usage, supported beneficiaries, and livelihood outcomes. Donors may choose to reinvest in new projects or withdraw from the capital cycle if desired.

Sustainability Policy

30% of any surplus generated from fundraising products or corporate sponsorships is reinvested into the fund to expand its reach.

Equity & Safety Policy

All borrowers — regardless of age, occupation, or ethnicity — are treated with dignity, fairness, and full protection of their legal rights.

Our Commitment

Each contribution is a small pebble — but together, they build pathways of trust and hope.
Each loan is a chance at a better life, empowering women to take control of their economic journey.
And every participant — whether donor or borrower — becomes part of a shared mission to spread compassion, dignity, and financial justice.
